The Soul of All Souls

”There is nothing that is beyond or superior to the Supreme Lord and there is nothing that is smaller or greater than He. He is the one who is steady like that of a tree and always remains in the bright sky, that Supreme Lord pervades this entire universe.”

PURPORT BY SRI KRSNA BALARAM SWAMIJI

If there is another person who is equal or greater than the Lord. There is no meaning of Him being the greatest. The title “the greatest” applies to some thing with which there no other thing that can be compared. There is nothing that is smaller than the Lord and there is nothing that is bigger than the Lord. He is the smallest of all and biggest of all as it is confirmed in the Bhagavad Gita (11.43). He is called as the Soul of all the souls, which means He lives inside every soul as their Supersoul. The soul is so small that even a microscope cannot visualize it and the Lord lives inside that minute soul. Unless the Lord was smaller than the soul how could He live inside the soul? The Lord is bigger than the biggest because, unless He was so great, how could so many universes come out of Him and after annihilation enter into Him? Therefore there is nothing that could be compared to the Lord either small or big. He permanently lives in His abode that is self-illuminated as stated in the Bhagavad Gita (15.6) and pervades everywhere through His influence. The Mantrarnava also states, hsa karanam karanadhipo na ca asya kascit janita na ca adhipa. “The Supreme Lord (Krsna) is the cause of all the causes. There is no one better than Him, He is the Lord of all the Lords. He is not produced by anyone because He is the original personality of Godhead. He is sovereign over everything, and no one rules over Him.”
